Nagios notification

Hi guys,

Whats the option I need to change to lessen the sensitivity of Nagios? 
Example:

The Nagios service send me a notification always some service is down. 
But, I need to change the interval of time. Always some service stay down 
for 10 seconds the Nagios notification me. And I need to change this 
with a interval of time bigger.

Someone know how I can do it?
