Upgrade

For me, running Mandrake (which is a RedHat based distro), all I needed to do to move from 1.1 to 2.0b3 was this:

rpm -Uhv nagios-2.0b3-1mdk nagios-www-2.0b3-1mdk

And it upgraded (the -U option) my installation. It wasn't quite that easy (I had to upgrade glibc and a dozen other things first too), but it was all done with rpm -U. All I needed was the right RPMs, which I found on http://rpmfind.net.

Now, as far as Suse and Debian-based distros go, they have similar tools to manage this as well (yast2 on Suse, apt on Debian).

Have fun!

Subject: [Nagios-users] Upgrade

Hi list

I have a fully functioning version 2.0b1 running and was considering
moving to 2.0b3. However the install instructions seem to be just
that an install. Is there any information out there in regards
to upgrading from one version to the next.

Thanks
