Uptime on Linux Servers

check_snmp is in nagios-plugins 1.4 ( and probably in earlier versions )
( http://www.nagiosexchange.org/Plugin_Packages.52.0.html?
&tx_netnagext_pi1[p_view]=32) 

Requires the NET-SNMP package, if net-snmp is not on your nagios host
then check_snmp binary is not created when building nagios-plugins
( net-snmp found at http://net-snmp.sourceforge.net )

...if that does not help try check_by_ssh, don't think there are any
requirements for that :)
