run nrpe and nagios at the same time

Hi,

Is-it possible to run nrpe in my nagios server?
I would like to use my generic nrpe configuration (used for all my 
clients) for  my  nagios server (localhost).
That will allow me to don't use check_local_disk single once.

[root at me]# service nrpe status
nrpe dead but subsys locked
