iptables check plugin?

Before I go and reinvent the wheel and make one, does anyone know if
there is an check_firewall or check_iptables plugin for Nagios.
Basically I need a quick plugin that will check to make sure that

A - The firewall is running
B - It's running with more then just the Default "Accept ALL" Policy


My Google'ing turned up nothing except an old discussion about a writing
a check plugin for iptables but I was unable to find out if anything
became of it.
