nagios will not start

No I have not been using a db server. I had planned on setting that up
later. Just needed to get real time monitoring up first, then set up a db
(postgresql) later for trending.

OK. Nagios start and end. I think that you don't have some object used by
nagios. Do you use db server? Is it running?
