Sorry for arriving late onto this thread.

I'm using FreeBSD on a Verio VPS2 server. There are a couple things I
have to cope with that perhaps someone can help me with:

1. I compiled from source, the ports install for my particular server
had fits, so I worked around it by compiling from source. Nagios 1.2
with nagios-plugins 1.3.1

2. There are no start-up scripts for FreeBSD. So I log in and su as
root and run the process manually (I know, that's terrible.. :( why I'm
asking for alternatives) Can someone paste me their FreeBSD startup
script and if its in rc.local or something? I seriously tried googling
this and hit a brick wall :(

Finally, this is probably not a FreeBSD specific thing and probably
should be a separate question, but here goes:

My hosts/services count keep going up and down.. For instance, if I have
5 hosts, and 10 services, and then later add one more host and 2 more
services under it... The GUI yo-yos randomly showing 5 hosts 10 services
then later 6 hosts 12 services and back and forth.

Then I LATER add 1 more host, 2 more services then the lower number is
increased to 6 hosts 12 services and yo-yos to 7 hosts 14 services.

That one has me totally baffled.

-Thanks,

Tim
