Application Version checker?

$ openssl version
OpenSSL 0.9.7d 17 Mar 2004

$ ssh -V
OpenSSH_3.8.1p1, OpenSSL 0.9.7d 17 Mar 2004

However, this isn't really a Nagios issue unless you are
monitoring that the version # doesn't change.  If you are
looking to manage a set of files and make sure they don't
change, I recommend http://www.cfengine.org/ as it is
specificaly designed for that.
