As for me, when I reply, I usually reply to the nagios list and the user.
So, the user would have 2 messages and the list 1.

There was also a very similar issue on one of the IPCop lists from 
sourceforge but it was much worse.  There were two messages from about 
3:22AM yesterday morning and I must have deleted close to a hundred 
copies of each.
