Service dependencies (Nagios 1.2)

Hi folks,

I've got a question about service dependency handling.

I have 2 services, S1 and S2. S2 depends on S1.

Now, if S2 goes down it occasionally happens that the reason is that in fact
S1 is down, but since S2 was checked _before_ S1, Nagios did not realize this
and sends out notifications for S1 and S2. to make matters worse, if S1 is
detected to be up first, there isn't even a recovery notification for S2.
I've already tried the 'freshness' parameter, but to no avail.

Any tips/hints/insights greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Stefan
