Invalid object definition type 'hostextinfo'

Did you run ./configure with the option "--with-template-extinfo" prior to
compiling?

If you're using a packaged version, ask the maintainer what options were
used.

Subject: [Nagios-users] Invalid object definition type 'hostextinfo'

Any reason why I would see a an invalid object definition error as shown
below:

[root at devserver etc]# ../bin/nagios -v nagios.cfg

Nagios 1.2
Copyright (c) 1999-2004 Ethan Galstad (nagios at nagios.org)
Last Modified: 02-02-2004
License: GPL

Reading configuration data...

Error: Invalid object definition type 'hostextinfo' in file
'/usr/local/nagios/etc/hostextinfo.cfg' on line 2.

This is the contents of the hostextinfo.cfg file:

define hostextinfo{
        host_name       mordor
        notes_url
http://localhost/cacti/graph_view.php?action=tree&tree_id=1&leaf_id=12
        }

Thanks!
