A fine idea, I think.

If I were going to do it, I'd write a wrapper for check_http that cycles
through a for loop and returns whatever the worst status of the bunch is
(obviously, OK if no baddies) and, for brevity, stops processing after
one baddie.

Aw, hell, I'll write it for you if you want.
