crowded status map

I'm having some trouble w/ the statusmap.  I have some hosts setup but 
all the icons are smooshed togeter.  All the images I'm using are 40x40 
pngs.

I've attempted to use the following

define hostextinfo{
        host_name       cat1
        icon_image_alt  Catalyst Switch
        icon_image      switch.png
        vrml_image      switch.png
        statusmap_image switch.png
        2d_coords       60,60
        }


I got the impression that specifing larger 2d_coords would space out the 
images a little, but that hasn't happened.

Other then re-sizeing the image itself can I spread those appart?
