Error Messages when running the apan-sql utility

Whenever run the apan-sql utility, the following error messages occur whenever I
enter an option or data:

./apanconf-sql: line 1: bc: command not found
./apanconf-sql: line 64: [: -gt: unary operator expected

The program prompts for information, but it does not appear that the data
entered
is winding up in the database.
