Nagios - Time Period Question

check_period and notification_period are different things.  Presumably the
notification period defined in your template is for a longer period than
ndafeed_release_monitor.  If the service happens to be in a critical or
warning state when you leave the check period, Nagios will stop checking to
see if the service has recovered, but will continue to notify you of the down
state as long as the notification period is valid, or until you re-enter the
check period and Nagios discovers the service has recovered.
