Want to use Nagios to inform admins about Snort alerts!

Hello people,

need help with nagios!
In now searched a long time and many internetsides, but i got still no
answer on my question.
I searched in this emaillist too, but i didn't find an answer.
"Is there any possibility to inform nagios, if the ids snort is
detecting an intrusion and generating an alert?"

Is there a plugin or a special check to solve this problem?
If not, is someone able to help me anyway with my problem?
