Dear Nagios,

I had an interesting time installing Nagios 1.2 onto a SUSE 9.1 box 
yesterday.

During the installation, configure could not find the libgd.so files. 
Despite me specifying exactly where they are using the correct configure 
options.

But I ignored this and completed the 'make' with absolutely no error, 
including the parts which use the libgd.

I think there might be an error somewhere in the configure script.
