monitor a directory in windows 2000

Is there anybody know how nagios could monitor a directory in windows 2000 system. I want to send an alert if the directory contains say, 180 sub-directories in the directory I want to monitor. What plugin do I use. I tried the "directory_file_count" plugin but it only checks for the files in the directory.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
