how does nagios handle

Hey guys,

Assuming we are using a distributed config of nagios. We have 2 nagios
distributed and 1 central nagios. Both of this distributed are on a
different site, New York and California. These 2 nagios are both monitoring
a server in Chicago. Our central server is in chicago. Things become
complicated when there is dynamic routing(say you have rerouting of traffic
to another link). But what if we configured a host to point to a single
parent?! So my question is, a link from California to Chicago goes down. New
York's link is still up and it can successfully do a check on the server.
How will the central nagios server send a notification? It's because the
server is now mark Unreachable.

Please help. Thanks.

Neil
