Never mind, I had a space of one of my hostgroup names (UNIX servers)
that services did not like. I removed the space in the hostgroup name
and all was good. My server now reads:
define service {
service_description some_name
use generic-service
register 1
host_name hostname1,hostname2
hostgroup_name hostgroup_name1,hostgroup_name2
....
}
sorry for the quick reply w/o better trial on my part.
