   On Linux you can get statistics from /proc filesystem.  (Use the
sources). /proc/PID/stat   (on 2.4.s)

   Maybe you can use SNMP .iso.org.dod.internet.mgmt.mib-2.host.
   hrSWRunPerf.hrSWRunPerfTable.hrSWRunPerfEntry.hrSWRunPerfCPU.PID
   (tested on Windows 2000, Linux - ucd-snmp).

   You can then use some Nagios plugin to get utilisation of your
CPU per application. I don't know whether somebody already wrote such
a plugin, but it isn't a hard work.
