How configure nagios to send mail

Try setting a smart host in sendmail and use the example email 
notifications that come with Nagios.

In sendmail.cf on you Solaris box use:

# "Smart" relay host (may be null)
DSmyhost.example.com

Where "myhost.example.com" is your email relay.
