Sorry - network monitoring folks don't get holidays. you must always bring 
your pager and cellphone and a can with a string attached :)

Reality: Nagios does not deal with the calendar only wekdays.

If you are having a holiday - depending on what you want, you might have a 
script add downtime to all the hosts to prevent notifications..
