Nagios keeps on sending notifications

Hi Marc,
Thanks for the fast reply, still I have only one process running and I have been restarting the machine a few times and even tried deleting the content of /var/log/nagios.
Any ideas?

This typically happens if you have multiple nagios processes running.
This is especially likely if you've been restarting nagios a lot.
