check_http on strings

I was testing check_http and string matching. I defaced a test webpage and I
got a "string NOT FOUND" on the nagios webpage(color RED). But I was
wondering why I didn't get any email notifications. Is it possible to
receive notification with this kind of checking?

The reason I was telling this is that, this morning, we're getting PAGE NOT
FOUND on one of our IIS webservers. I checked the W3SVC service and it was
still running. I used netcat to connect to the web daemon on port 80, and I
get a connection. So, it seems to me that IIS just gave up serving webpages.
But like I said, I didn't get any email notification.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks again.

Ronneil
