Caught SIGSEGV, shutting down... after compiling for MySQL logging

I'm getting this error when I tried to start nagios. It worked fine when I
compiled it for non-mysql support but when I compiled it using MySQL support
it compiled fine and appears to install fine. However, when I tried to start
it it seems to daemonize but shortly stops working. I've already made sure
that it's running the check_nagios_db.pl for the database check_command but
it still doesn't stay running. 

Can someone help me with this problem please.
