check_snmp limits?

I cant get warn/crit to work for check_snmp...

hooch:/usr/share/snmp/mibs# /usr/lib/nagios/plugins/check_snmp -H
printer-1 -o .1.3.6.1.2.1.43.11.1.1.9.1.5
SNMP OK - 1600

Now, I want a warning between 1000-2000 and crit between 0-999

But, if use 
hooch:/usr/share/snmp/mibs# /usr/lib/nagios/plugins/check_snmp -H
printer-1 -o .1.3.6.1.2.1.43.11.1.1.9.1.5 -w 1000:2000 -c 0:999
SNMP CRITICAL - *1600*
hooch:/usr/share/snmp/mibs#

It goes to critical. What am I missing?
