New feature or how to do this?

You can put comments on hosts/services any time you want. You could
refer to the outage in the comment.

What I wanted was the ability to make comments that don't pertain to a
specific host/service.

Subject: [Nagios-users] New feature or how to do this?

Hi,

I would like to implement the following feature on a Nagios platform:

There existx a 'scheduled outage' feature for services and/or hosts. We
can give a specific comment such "kernel upgrade", "new cabling", ...

But, I would like to use a feature to acknowledge or comment all
unscheduled outages. (for later statistics and/or reporting)

Ex: host 'xxx' down: Comment: "kernel panic, upgraded to 2.4.xx"

Any suggestion?

Xavier
