Hi Pete --

Yes they are...Also, I am checking the apan-sql and generate-sql cgi files and I
am changing the #!/bin/sh line
in both to #!/bin/bash to see if that makes a difference.

Here is a crazy question, are the time stamps changing on the rrd files?

Pete

Hi Peter,

I verified the nagios userid is the owner and has rw access to the rrd
files.

I sent an e-mail to Fredrik Wanglund and asked his opinion about
something. I'll include it here for your perusal and thoughts. Thanks in
advance.

I checked the Apache error_log file, and while there was no reference to
rrdtool there was a large amount of
ERROR: unknown option '1' messages. I also checked the access.log file
and I noticed a decent amount of lines that read <ip address> -
<username> [date:time -0400] "GET /nagios/cgi-bin/generate-sql.cgi?#&#
HTTP/1.1 200 5.

I did a find as command as root to look for the apancgi.log file, and
there was none to be found. The apancgi.debug file did not appear to
have any further updates to it, while the rrd file within the <nagios
dir>/rrd directory did show that it had been modified.

I was looking through the apan.defs file and currently the image type
that is being created is png. One idea I had was to change the filetype
from png to gif or gd. What do you think?

Make sure the user id that's running Nagios can read the rrd files.

Have you tried upping your debug levels in Apan?
