Sure.
services.cfg entry looks like this:

# Service definition
define service{
	use				generic-service		; Name of
service template to use

  host_name     4000,5000,6000,8000,phaser
	service_description		PING
	is_volatile			0
	check_period			24x7
	max_check_attempts		3
	normal_check_interval		5
	retry_check_interval		1
	contact_groups			nt-admins,ptrnotify
	notification_interval  0
	notification_period		24x7
	notification_options		w,u,c,r
        check_command                   check_ping!800.0,30%!1500.0,75%
	}

and:

# Service definition
define service{
	use				generic-service		; Name of
service template to use

  host_name     4000,5000,6000,8000
	service_description		hpjd
	is_volatile			0
	check_period			24x7
	max_check_attempts		3
	normal_check_interval		5
	retry_check_interval		1
	contact_groups			nt-admins,ptrnotify
	notification_interval  0
	notification_period		24x7
	notification_options		w,u,c,r
	check_command			check_hpjd!public
	}

And it returns this:
PING OK - Packet loss = 0%, RTA = 1.51 ms
and:
Printer ok - ("TRAY 3 EMPTY")

Subject: [Nagios-users] HP JetDirect status

Hello everyone,

Is there anyone who has already setup a HP Jet Direct service, through
check_hpjd?

When I do so, I got a time out.

Thanks.

Jean-Louis
