Monitoring R/3 SAP

I'm the Basis Admin at my company. I would like to monitor R/3 also. I
have not started on that project yet, but want to in the next month or so.
I would be glad to share information on how and what to monitor. I use
HP-UX systems and am monitoring the servers with Nagios currently.

Thanks
Ned

I looked into this a couple years ago using a perl module for R/3 but it was
decided to roll it in to different monitoring. Time permitting I'd be
interested in helping get something going however. I'm not actually part of
a
basis team but I might be able to get an account in R/3 which would give me
read access to the needed data. As far as I ever got (quite a while ago) I
was
able to make connections to SAP ... just never got as far as *checking*
anything.
