Noah,

i ones thouth abouth monitoring SAP R/3 with Nagios.
There was a special, extended Nagios version to monitor over CCMS. What is the right way and may covers all your needs. Developed by SAP and SuSE, (i guess).

The last information i found was from 2002-10-08, if you rpm search for it.
eg: http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat/4/idpl/223179/com/nagios-plugins-sap-ccms-0.7-24.i586.rpm.html

I never found time to compile and install and dont know the status of this project.
Somehow didnt like there special Nagios version, but they needed it to get extra large, multiple line status information.

Would be interested, if you get over something newer.

Regards,
Markus

Betreff: [Nagios-users] Monitoring R/3 SAP

Anyone out there use nagios to monitor their R/3 SAP on AIX instances?
My primary requirement is focused around job monitoring - aborted jobs,
job max run time thresholds, jobs starting late, and the like - but
performance and instance status monitoring are also needed.

Just wondering if there is anyone out there whose doing this or wanting
to.
