libssl.so.4 issues

Hi, whenever I try to run Nagios, I get an error:

/usr/lib/nagios/plugins/check_ftp: error while loading shared libraries:
libssl.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Libssl.so.4 is part of openssl-0.9.7a. So I downloaded
openssl-0.9.7a-2.i686.rpm and when I install it with -U I get a bunch of
results like these:

libssl.so.2 is needed by (installed) samba-client-2.2.7-5.8.0
libssl.so.2 is needed by (installed) samba-common-2.2.7-5.8.0
libssl.so.2 is needed by (installed) stunnel-3.22-5.8.0
libssl.so.2 is needed by (installed) wget-1.8.2-5
openssl = 0.9.6b-33 is needed by (installed) openssl-devel-0.9.6b-33

And I still get the error for check_ftp. Openssl-devel-0.9.6b-33 is
already installed. It must be a stupid question but I have no idea,
sorry. Can someone help me out please? It's a RedHat 8, thanks.
