Question about nagios logs in /usr/local/nagios/var/archives

Hi,

I´m put the nagios logs files into the /usr/local/nagios/var/archives when the rotation files occure, and the name of this files are something like that: 

nagios-09-03-2003-00.log
nagios-09-03-2003-23.log

I know that the format is nagios-mm-dd-yy-XX, but I don´t know what is the mine of XX, and why most of the time is 00 but sometime is other value.
