Out of bounds Error

Every week or two, one of my nagios distributed servers starts freaking out
and throwing criticals all over..

Additional Info: (Return code of 127 is out of bounds - plugin may be
missing)

I can fix it by stopping the nagios service, killing any lingering nagios
daemons, and then starting the nagios service (runs under inetd). Question
is why is this occurring? Anyone else get this? My other distributed server
doesn't do it so perhaps this was a bug in a previous version that I'm
currently using as there could be a version mismatch between the two
distributed servers (the one that behaves was installed more recently).
