Availability Report: Service Log Entries

Greetings,
 
Is this an error or expected behaviour.
 
When I perform an availability report on a service for "last month" I get the correct report. However, the "Service Log Entries" show all log entries going back 3 months (showing 4 months in total)
 
I would have expected to only see log entries for my reporting period.
 
Any comments?
