wap

I am new to wap and Nagios.
I am trying to set the wap interface up.
I run into two problems 
1. I am using .htaccess for authentication and the wap browser I am testing
on fails when it gets to the authentiction part.  I can see the side.html
and the main.html but when I click on a link it errors 401 "Authentication
Requirred"
2. My palm Tungsten just errors "Access denied"

What do I need to do to get these to work?
