Is there documentation on how to write plug-in for apan?

Hi,
All you need to do is write a simple wrapper script that calls check_tcp from apan - i.e. a shell script that calls the standard plugin and returns the result to apan.  Look at utils.sh in the apan directory to see how this is done (ping is a good example).  Also don't forget you'll need to add it to the case statement in apan.sh If you need any more help please contact me
