Newbie Q' RH9-Nagios

I've gotten preflight returning no errors.

but when I attempt to start nagios.
I get this error

ps: error: List of process IDs must follow -p.
usage: 	ps -[Unix98 options]
	ps [BSD-style options]
	ps --[GNU-style long options]
	ps --help for a command summary

I think I know what it's telling me, but pouring over my cfg files has been fruitless thus far.
Where else should I look for a fix to this
