nrpe wrapper problems - solaris 8

Greetings,

I'm having problems wrapping nrpe on Solaris 8 hosts. The
daemon will start up and run fine standalone - just
/usr/local/nrpe/nrpe -c /usr/local/nrpe/nrpe.cfg -i works
fine. Even putting it in inetd, unwrapped, like the
following:

nrpe    stream  tcp     nowait  nrpe /usr/local/nrpe/nrpe
nrpe -c /usr/local/nrpe/nrpe.cfg
 -i
