Nagios: Enable Debugging

I have a shell script that will test logins to a
webpage.

When I run the script from the command line, it shows
proper status saying "Server is down" when the web
server or databse server (to authenticate) is down.
However if I look at the nagios web page for this
service, it shows that the server is UP. I'm wondering
why it shows up that way. I want to enable debugging
to see what commands are run by netsaint to solve this
issue.

How to I run Nagios in debug mode to spit out all the
plugins and commands it is using for every check ?

Thanks.
