Sure, make the changes to nagios.cfg, and create t the new files...

cfg_file=/usr/local/etc/nagios/contactgroups.cfg
cfg_file=/usr/local/etc/nagios/contacts.cfg
cfg_file=/usr/local/etc/nagios/dependencies.cfg
cfg_file=/usr/local/etc/nagios/escalations.cfg
cfg_file=/usr/local/etc/nagios/timeperiods.cfg

cfg_file=/usr/local/etc/nagios/hostgroups.cfg
cfg_file=/usr/local/etc/nagios/hosts.cfg
cfg_file=/usr/local/etc/nagios/services.cfg

cfg_file=/usr/local/etc/nagios/evan/hosts.cfg
cfg_file=/usr/local/etc/nagios/evan/hostgroups.cfg
cfg_file=/usr/local/etc/nagios/evan/services.cfg

cfg_file=/usr/local/etc/nagios/high/hosts.cfg
cfg_file=/usr/local/etc/nagios/high/hostgroups.cfg
cfg_file=/usr/local/etc/nagios/high/services.cfg

Is it possible to break up the hosts.cfg (and services.cfg) in to
small, more manageable files (like for different types of systems)?
i.e. do the hosts.cfg and service.cfg object files support some sort
of "include " statement?

sorry if this is too simple a question. I just haven't found anything
that addresses that option in the docs.

Any pointers on that (or solution approach) will be appreciated
Tomas
