nagios process

Hi All,

I have just installed nagios 1.0 on my laptop for taking round to demos
, its all up and running fine bar one thing. On the process info page it
tells me the nagios process is not running. 

If I do a ps-eaf | grep nagios I can see the process running. Can some
one tell me what I'm doing wrong. The setup is Nagios 1.0, plugins 1.3
and rh8.0
