Nagios timezoen setting?

OK so where the heck does Nagios get it's timezone from?  My system has 
PST/PDT set but nagios alternates between EDT and GMT, and when it 'says' 
EDT I'm pretty sure it's not right (I haven't done the math, but it looks 
really wrong).

Any help/idea on getting this fixed?
