Can't get rid of old config

Are you absolutely _sure_ you killed all the nagios processes? It really
sounds like at least one remained. That's classic behavior as one will
update the status file with the new information and the other will
re-write the status file with the old information. You might also try
deleting your status.sav file after stopping nagios, but I think this is
much less likely to be the cause.
