Hi There,

a collegue and i are currently building a webfrontend with database
backend for the nagios configuration...
configuration files are generated from the databases with some perl
scripts ..
with nagios2 xml files will be used for configuration afaik .. so we'll
have to do some refactoring on this scripts, but it shouldn't take
longer than 2 hours ;)

the information in the databases are maintained via some php scripts
running on the nagios host ...

the current version supports the maintainance of the following data:
*contacts
*contacgroups
*hosts
*hostgroups
*services
we are currently developing the maintainance of the dependencies and
escalations which are not yet used at our site, but maybe in the near
future.

if someone likes to take a look at the interface (which is only in
german by now) he/she shoult point a browser to
http://nagiosconf.sskm.net
at http://nagiosconf.sskm.net/sql/ you can browse the database with
phpmyadmin

this page is not always up to date, since it's only a test install ;)

suggestions are welcome :-)

cheers
basti
