Not reporting on hosts with no services

Nagios will only check the status of the host if the service check failed.
You don't have a service being checked, therefore the host will never be
checked.

If need be, set up a check_ping service.  This might sound redundant, but
that's the way it is.

Having said that, you might want to set up a common test for most of your
hosts.  Surely you login remotely once in a while, so you could test for
that.  If the answer is, "But these hosts don't provide any network
services, none, nada, zero, zilch," you might want to ask what value-add
they're providing.  ;)
