Problem running nrpe daemon in Red Hat Linux 7.2

Hi,
I have a problem running the nrpe daemon ( version 1.5 )  on Red Hat Linux 7.2.. It runs fine on Red Hat Linux 8.0 and on SCO Openserver 5.0.X but for some reasons I got the following error on Linux 7.2
    
root at proxy2 nagios]# ./nrpe -d nrpe.cfg

./nrpe: /lib/i686/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.3' not found (required by ./nrpe)



I would appreciate if somebody could help me with the problem...
