Same results for port 8888 using telnet. (We are running DG on a different
port because we are migrating from another solution.) I can monitor squid
directly using:

 

check_http -H www.cnn.com -I $HOSTADDRESS$ -p 3128

 

I can provide a tcpdump from the filter if it would be helpful. I looked it
over and everything seemed to be in order. The requests look exactly the
same as the requests from a browser with the proxy turned on.
