Error: Could not stat() command file '/usr/local/nagios/var/rw/na gios.cmd'!

Is your web server a member of group 'nagioscmd' and been restarted
since adding it to the group? Maybe someone changed that? Permissions
wise, everything looks fine.

List, 

Randomly, I am unable to send commands to Nagios. It was working okay.
When I do I get: 

Error: Could not stat() command file
'/usr/local/nagios/var/rw/nagios.cmd'! 

I have made no changes to the server, nor have others.

I'm not sure what the issue is, could anyone provide pointers? I've
checked the FAQs and Docs, yet I see nothing that fixes the issue.
